NRH TY Programme Spring 2024

The NRH Foundation was delighted to meet the spring intake of TY students who spent last week in the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH), diving into the world of rehabilitation methods and services at the Hospital.

The students learnt about the vital role the NRH Foundation plays when it comes to funding specialist equipment, research, and projects for the National Rehabilitation Hospital, including the Foundation’s role in Phase one and Phase Two of the new NRH hospital development.

20 transition year students, from all over Ireland spent the week in the NRH, and were really interested in how funding works, and how it is allocated to different programmes and equipment, etc.

The students also got to meet two of the NRH @peatapettherapy Dogs, Púca and Harley, who came in to visit the group, so that their owners could explain the vital role these dogs play in helping the patients on their rehabilitation journey at the NRH.

Thank you to the students for taking part in the NRH TY Programme and for all their engaging questions.
