Some amazing Acts of Kindness from our Friends and Neighbours…
LIDL, POTTERY ROAD:
The staff of Lidl, Pottery Road, very generously donated a great selection of chocolates and other items to the patients in the hospital. We are overwhelmed with this amazing generosity shown by our neighbours to support the patients of the NRH.
EASTER EGG DONATION:
Over the Easter weekend, we received in a donation of Easter Eggs for the patients of the hospital. This very generous donation came from the husband of a past patient of the service. This kindness over the bank holiday weekend was hugely appreciated.
LUCOZADE DRINKS DONATION:
Lucozade Ireland very kindly donated a selection of drinks for both staff and patients in the hospital. A very welcomed treat for all.
BEAUTIFUL DOLLS HOUSE DONATED
A beautifully hand crafted Dolls House was donated into the Hospital – the lovely gentleman who built this amazing piece dropped it into reception, wanting it to be put to good use.
HARVEY NORMAN, CARRICKMINES
When they received a request for support from ourselves, Harvey Norman Carrickmines very kindly donated 6 electronic tablets that have now been distributed to the various wards in the hospital, to facilitate patients communicating regularly with family and friends during our current visitor restrictions.
SMYTHS TOY STORE, CARRICKMINES
Smyths Toys also answered our call for support through the donation of a voucher to enable the Recreational Therapy Service to purchase some additional board games and indoor activities that can be used by the patients during this time when we have had to curtail some of our usual recreational therapy activities in the hospital.
The generosity of all these people and organisations has had a hugely positive impact for the patients in the NRH during these very challenging and uncertain times.
We are hugely indebted to all for their generous support.
