Shane Watters contacted us from Canada to let us know he was taking part in the 2018 NY Marathon and had decided to use it as fundraising opportunity. His Brother Niall had been a patient in the NRH. Shane’s sister and Family had previously taken part in the Women’s Mini Marathon to raise money to support the patients of the hospital.
We would like to say a massive congratulations to Shane for completing this challenge! Shane got around the 5 boroughs of New York City (Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronxs and Manhattan) in a very timely 4 hours, 8 minutes, and 35 seconds.
Shane also raised an amazing €1,566.41 which will be used for the direct benefit of patients, both adults and children, in the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH).
