We are delighted to announce we are a charity partner for Project Empower 2022. Fergus Farrell who was a NRH Spinal Patient due to a workplace accident, had a 5% chance of walking again. A year later, on the anniversary of the accident Fergus walked for 5 days from Athenry to the NRH and raised vital funds for the NRH Spinal Programme which are being used for an outreach programme.
PROJECT EMPOWER – World Record Attempt
On Monday 13th of June 2022, Fergus and his friend, former professional Rugby Player Damian Browne will attempt an unsupported row from New York City to Galway Bay rowing over 1.5 Million Oar Strokes.
They are hoping to raise life changing funds for the NRH and 3 other charities, Ability West, Galway Simon and Madra, while also attempting to break world record attempt!

You can follow their journey on the live tracking system, as they attempt to reach home under 55 days!
