Med Day Grants

Every year, the Medical students in Trinity College Dublin (TCD) come together as part of Med Day to fundraise for Health Care Organisations the College has an affiliation with.  In 2023 the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) for adults and children, was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the beneficiary organisations for Med Day 2023.  The TCD Med Day event took place on Friday 10th November 2023 and was a massive success, raising in excess of €83,000 for ten very worthwhile and impactful projects across several Healthcare Organisations.

On Friday 5th April, the teams from the NRH were invited to the 149th Med Day Inaugural ball held in TCD.  At this event the Hospital was presented with two funding grants – a donation of €5,000 to support the NRH Assistive Technology (AT) Service and a donation of €1,580 to support the NRH Therapeutic Make Up Service, a new pilot service within the Hospital.

On the night, Lisa Held, NRH Occupational Therapy Manager, accepted the donation on behalf of the NRH Assistive Technology team while Emma Harte,  NRH Clinical Specialist Speech & Language Therapist, accepted the donation for the NRH Therapeutic Make Up Service.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the medical students involved in Trinity Med Day 2023 and for so kindly thinking of the NRH in relation to their chosen projects to support this year.
