In August 2019, the NRH Foundation was approached by Maurice Hedderman of Hedderman Financial Solutions Ltd, a locally based Financial Planning Practice. Maurice was enquiring about the possibility of funding support for the NRH. Maurice is a member of the MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) Association, a global, independent association of more than 65,000 of the world’s leading life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 500 companies in 70 nations and territories. The Association runs an annual grant programme through its Foundation, providing funding grants to charitable organisations throughout the world. All MDRT Foundation grant awards are endorsed by a current member of MDRT. Through Maurice’s membership with the Association the NRH Foundation was provided with the opportunity to submit an application into this unique grant programme.
In February 2020, the NRH Foundation received the fantastic news that our application into the MDRT Foundation was successful and we were awarded a grant of $5,000. With this funding grant we have been able to support the Brain Injury Programme in the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) in the purchase of a specialised bladder scanner for the Service.
A huge thank you to Maurice and all at Hedderman Financial Solutions for this amazing support and for thinking of the NRH in this way, we will be forever indebted to you all.
