Primary school fundraisers can be introduced in lots of fun ways. It is a great opportunity to get the whole school involved in making a difference. It also allows the older classes the opportunity to take the lead on a fundraising event, helping them develop team work skills and creative thinking which can be taken into second level education. All students can get creative making posters to raise awareness for their fundraising event and to explore what they have learnt about the NRH.
Many primary schools choose to raise funds for the NRH Paediatric Programme so the primary school children can support other children. The Paediatric Family-Centred Rehabilitation Programme is the national medical rehabilitation service for children and adolescents from birth to 18 years of age requiring a complex specialised rehabilitation service.
Funds raised can help support children in different ways such as Music Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Art Therapy etc. Play therapy also has a direct and positive impact of the lives of children in the NRH.
