On Friday 25th of August 2017, the Galway Cycle 2017 ended, with a cheque presentation in Brady’s Bar, Maynooth.
It has truly been an honour to have been the Galway Cycle 2017 chosen charity. The commitment, training, planning, and support the Galway Cycle Committee, Volunteers and Cyclists put in to prepare and complete this event is staggering.
We will be forever grateful for the work each person put in and for the valuable and life changing funds they have raised, and to all those who donated – all monies raised will be of enormous benefit to the Paediatric Patients in the NRH.

To date the sum of €80,372.27 has been raised for the NRH Foundation by the Galway Cycle 2017. This fantastic achievement will go towards equipping the following rooms in the Paediatric Family-Centred Rehabilitation (Paeds) Unit in the new NRH development.
- Multi-Sensory Therapy Room
- Therapeutic & Sensory Garden
- Therapeutic Outdoor Garden
- Adolescent Den
This new facility will contain all the required rehabilitation support services within one location. Providing children and young people with specialist rehabilitation services at the right time and the in the most appreciate setting, in close collaboration with family members.
Thank you so much to Galway Cycle 2017 for making our dreams a reality – we will be forever indebted to you all.
