Portugal Cycle challenge

NRH past patient and double Paralympic gold medallist Mark Rohan has very kindly decided to organise a fundraising cycle challenge event in Portugal to raise vital funds for the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) for adults & children.

The aim is to cycle the N2 road in Portugal from Chaves to Faro, a very challenging 730km over 6 days, from the 26th to the 31st of October 2021. The funds raised will enable the purchase of new specialist cycling equipment for the Sports Physio Department in the NRH.

Mark is determined to facilitate access for newly injured patients of the NRH to a range of cycling equipment in a safe and accessible environment.

From my own experience with life changing mobility issues, I believe that making cycling accessible to newly injured patients will greatly improve their health and rehabilitation. Mark Rohan
