September 13th is International Legacy Giving Day, and as part of My Legacy Month, Irish charities are urging individuals to think of creating a Will. According to My Legacy, there are three straightforward steps to follow in this process:

• Schedule a meeting with a solicitor to outline your wishes and plans for the future.
• Take care of your loved ones: a Will ensures provision for family members, designates guardians, safeguards assets, and can potentially lower inheritance tax.
• Consider a legacy donation to a charity: if you think you can help the NRH, consider leaving a gift in your Will to the NRH Foundation. This gift can be of any size and is tax-free for charities.
