The Dun Laoghaire Lions Club have been an amazing supporter of the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) for adults and children and the NRH Foundation for many years. We were delighted when they chose to fundraise for Phase One of the NRH New Hospital Project.
Thanks to all the support and commitment from their dedicated members and supporters, they raised an incredible €82,500.
These funds will support the ‘Garden Away from Home’ project in Phase One of the new hospital development at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH), for adults & children, in addition to supporting the building of an external lift that will enable access for the patients to the gardens and activities at the rear of the new build. The funds have also enabled the purchase of a Mobile Projector Unit System for the Paediatric Programme.
As both adults and child patients will spend on average three months in the NRH, this Garden Away From Home will be the perfect place for patients to relax and enjoy being in nature.
A huge thank you to all the members and supporters of the Dún Laoghaire Lions Club for your phenomenal fundraising efforts. Your support for Phase One of the new NRH hospital project will create a lasting legacy and bring joy to future patients and their families.
