Art Donation

A huge thank you to Wilton Gallery and local artist John Short for donating this beautiful piece of art to the New Hospital Project in the NRH.

This amazing artwork is a collaboration by Wilton Gallery and the Artist John Short and is entitled “Forty Foot Entrance, (No Dogs).” It is a limited edition of 1/1 in Aluminium panels.  The image shows bathers getting ready to swim in the well known Forty Foot in Dun Laoghaire.

This spectacular piece is now on display in the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) outside the children’s ward and beside the NRH aquatic facility.

Creative Arts Therapy is an important part of the rehabilitation journey in the NRH.  Having this incredible piece of art on display will not only lift the spirits of the patients during their journey to recovery but will also give inspiration to patients when taking part in art classes or art therapy in the NRH.

We are so grateful to Wilton Gallery and John Short for this incredibly generous donation.  Thank you also to Framing Direct for so generously donating the framing of the piece.
