“My name is Abby Eogan. I am a 16 year old student from O’Carolan College, Nobber, County Meath. On the 10th of November I completed a sky dive from 10,000 foot for the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) Foundation. This charity holds a special place in my heart as in 2017 my uncle Colm Eogan was in a serious accident where he lost his two legs and severely broke his arms. After many months in hospital he was admitted to The NRH where he would learn to walk again with the aid of Prosthetics. I saw the amazing work the hospital did for him and we couldn’t thank them enough for all the work they have done!
We went up to visit Colm many times while he was in the NRH and came across many amazing people who help people with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, POLAR rehabilitation and there is even a paediatric unit for children. I raised a grand total of €3,335 for this amazing foundation by completing a sky dive and holding a bake sale! I cannot thank the NRH enough for the astonishing work they did to help Colm and his recovery with the doctor and nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, OT’s and many more!! Thank you!!”
A huge well done to Abby for completing a 10,000 foot sky dive, your bravery and courage is inspirational and the funds you raised will make a direct difference to patients in the NRH.
